Terms & Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and God's Heritage School for the use of this website and the school portal. By registering for an account or signing in, you accept them.

1. Who may use the portal

• Parents and guardians of a child enrolled at the school, after the school has approved the registration.
• Pupils and students, using an account created for them by the school — pupils from Creche to Primary 6, students from JSS 1 to SS 3. Where these terms say child they mean either.
• Teachers and staff, using an account created for them by the school.

Accounts are personal. Do not share your password, and do not sign in as anyone else. A parent account is approved by the school before it can be used; until then you will see a "pending" status.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information when you register, and keep your phone number and email up to date — the school uses them to reach you about your child.
• You are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell the school at once if you think someone else has access to it.
• You may sign in with a password or with Google. If you registered with a password and later use Google, we will link the two so either works. If you registered with Google and want a password as well, set one from the settings page of your portal.

3. What the portal is for

The portal exists so that families and staff can follow a child's schooling: attendance, results, assignments, timetable, fees, announcements and messages. Use it for that. Section 5 lists what is not allowed.

4. Fees and payments

• School fees, their amounts and their due dates are set by the school, not by this website.
• Where the portal shows a balance, it is a record of what the school has entered. If you believe it is wrong, raise it with the bursary — the portal is not a substitute for the school's own accounts.
• When online payment is available, a payment is only treated as made once our payment provider confirms it to our server. A screenshot or a pending bank transfer is not confirmation.
• Refunds follow the school's published fees policy. The portal does not change it.

5. Rules of use

You must not:

• try to reach records that are not yours — another family's child, another teacher's class;
• probe, scan, or attempt to break the security of the portal;
• upload anything unlawful, abusive, or unsuitable for a school;
• use the portal to bully, threaten or harass anyone, whether staff, parent or child;
• copy child data out of the portal for any purpose the school has not agreed to;
• use automated tools to scrape the portal;
• impersonate another parent, child or member of staff.

6. Academic records

Results shown in the portal are provisional until the school publishes them. Where a published result is later corrected, the corrected result is the valid one. Report cards printed from the portal are the school's record; the school may require an officially stamped copy for external use.

7. The AI assistant

The assistant is a study and support tool. It can be wrong. It is not a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer or a counsellor, and it does not speak for the school. Do not rely on it for a decision that matters — ask a member of staff. Children must not use it to have work done for them; see the Portal Rules.

8. Availability

We work to keep the portal available, but we do not promise it will never be down. Maintenance, network problems in Nigeria, or a failure at one of our providers can interrupt it. Nothing in the portal replaces the school's own records or its direct communication with parents.

9. Content and ownership

The school's name, crest, and the material on this website belong to God's Heritage School. Content you submit — a message, a photograph, an assignment — remains yours; you give the school permission to store and display it within the portal for the purpose you sent it for.

10. Suspension

The school may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to endanger a child, or where the child is no longer enrolled. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.

11. Liability

We take responsibility for what the law says we must, including anything caused by our own negligence. Beyond that, the school is not liable for loss caused by a failure of your device or network, by your own disclosure of your password, or by reliance on the AI assistant contrary to section 7.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Oyo State have jurisdiction over any dispute.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and we will notify parents in the portal about anything significant. Continuing to use the portal after a change means you accept it.
